BACOLOD: "Philippines Best Place To Live"
Bacolod City topped Number One among the "20 Best Places to Live in the Philippines", survey by MoneySense Magazine March-April 2008 edition, a magazine for international release that ranked Bacolod.

“Money Sense” editor-in-chief Heinz G. Bulos wrote the article on Bacolod based on records. He wrote in his editorial the three components of what is believed to make a place the best to live: standard of living, quality of life, and cost of living. In all these three, Bacolod excelled.

Bacolod proves to be the pride of the country's economy. First, Bacolod is the "Philippines Sugarbowl Capital". Second, it's awarded as the "Philippines Cleanest and Greenest Highly Urbanized City" for three consecutive years. Third, it is the Philippines Most Livable City". Also cited Bacolod as the "Most Friendly in the Visayas and in the Country", as "Philippines Best Child-friendly City" and has the "Philippines Best Peace and Order Council". Bacolod is a more pleasant place to live in.
